Is a Children's Advocacy Center a common model?
There are 68 other advocacy centers in the State of Texas available to serve approximately 92% of our child population.

Who do you serve?
We serve children ages 2-17 who have been alleged victims of child abuse or nelgect, are secondary witnesses and/or have witnessed violent crime?

What is a forensic interview?
A forensic interview is conducted for the purpose of investigation and is videotaped to reduce the number of times a child is questioned during the course of that investigation.

As a parent, what should I not do?
DO NOT ask your child questions or discuss the incident before the interview. DO NOT ignore your child's physical well being. Be sure your child is well fed and rested prior to the interview. DO NOT make promises to or bribe your child to tell the truth or withhold information about the events that brought them to the center.
